Document Notarisation

Many documents that need to be signed and sent overseas, require the signature to be witnessed by a Notary Public, sometime after administering an oath, such as:

  • Affidavits
  • Statutory declarations
  • Transfers of Land
  • Loan
  • Mortgage documents
  • Probate documents

A Notary Public’s other main task is to certify copies of documents to be true copies, certifying also that the original was sighted by the Notary. This can get tricky, if the original document is something like a PDF document that only exists in electronic form. However, the certificate can be worded appropriately in most cases.

A Notary Public can also prepare ship’s protests and noting and can protest bills of exchange, but the need for those is no common.
