Trespass

We are helping an aunt evict a niece from the back shed of the aunt’s mother’s house at the moment.

We helped to draft a notice which was given to the lady some time ago, confirming that she is now trespassing and if she did not vacate by a certain date, action would be taken.

That action will be to report the matter to the police in the first instance and press charges for trespass, handing all the evidence to the police on a platter.

We did something similar about 10 years ago for another client.  While we had to speak to someone higher up at the police station to get some action, 2 burly police officers arrived later that day to escort the trespasser away.  It was a lot easier than a Supreme Court action for possession.
