Advance Health Directive

I have client with a severe Heart condition.  She’s only been given about a month to live.

She has had enough and does not wish to be resuscitated if her heart fails, so she wanted to sign an Advance Health Directive.

There is a new AHD form, which, I am happy to report, is a lot easier to complete than the old one, which basically required a law degree and a medical degree to complete properly.  Hence I was reluctant to prepare any, and had only prepared one, which never ended up being signed.

An AHD kicks in if a person us unable to make medical decisions for themselves.

If you know of anyone who would like to set down their wishes in an AHD in order to have some peace of mind, see Michael Paterson & Associates.
