One of our clients needs some documents notarised and sent to the US, as part of the process of winding up her late husband’s estate. He died leaving assets in the US where there are death taxes, based on the value of the assets at the date of death, which was now 4 years ago.
If you know anyone with assets in the US, they may wish to divest themselves of those assets before they die, or perhaps see if it is feasible to transfer the assets to a discretionary trust that will survive them and benefit their family instead.
As a notary, Michael can also certify copies of documents to be true copies. For notarisation of documents that are needed overseas, see Michael Paterson & Associates.
